Perform better
in live rounds
Game-based grappling seminars in Lisbon, for people who already train. One problem each time — and you find your own way to solve it in live rounds.
Built to make you better in live rounds
You train hard, but a lot of it doesn’t show up when you roll. Our seminars are a focused dose of the method we use to fix that — the same game-based training we run every week, brought into one room in Lisbon.
A method, not a one-off class
The same game-based training we run every week, brought into a focused session. Live reps, not a demo.
Modern submission grappling
No-gi, the way the sport is moving. You work real positions against someone who’s resisting.
For people who train
Any belt, gi or no-gi background. If you already train, it’s for you.
How the method works.
It’s game-based. Instead of memorizing moves, you play live games that make you solve real problems against someone resisting. That’s why it carries over to your own rounds.
Every seminar is one problem, one constraint, and a sequence of games that deepens it. You get guided live rounds and coaching on the decisions you make. No lectures, no moves to memorize.
What makes it a seminar
- 01One observable problem to solve
- 02One constraint that removes the easy answer
- 03Live games sequenced to deepen the problem
- 04Coaching on the decisions you make as it emerges
- You know moves but can’t use them when someone resists
- You freeze or hesitate in live rounds
- You drill a lot but it doesn’t show up when you roll
- You’re not improving — same rounds, same results
- Moves that work when someone resists
- Better decisions in live rounds
- Training that carries over to real rolling
- A clear idea of what to work on next

Questions before you come?
01Who are the seminars for?
Adults who already train and want to get better in live rounds. Any belt, any style. If you train, this is for you.
02What is the method?
It’s game-based (sometimes called ecological). Each seminar takes one grappling problem, removes the easy answer with a constraint, and runs live games that make you solve it. That’s what makes it carry over to real rounds.
03Do I need no-gi experience?
No. Gi or no-gi, BJJ or wrestling — you’ll be fine. The sessions are no-gi submission grappling, and anyone who trains can jump in.
04What should I wear and bring?
Shorts or leggings and a t-shirt or rash guard. No gi needed. Bring water and a towel.
05What language is it taught in?
English. International and Portuguese-speaking grapplers are both welcome.
06I’m visiting Lisbon — can I drop into a seminar?
Yes. Seminars are one-off sessions with no membership, so travelling and visiting grapplers are welcome. Message us and we’ll tell you the next date while you’re in town.
07Where do I find dates and topics?
Each run has its own date and problem. You’ll find the current schedule and what each seminar covers at https://grapplerscollective.com/seminars. You can also message us to hear about the next Lisbon run.
